The actor has since clarified the incident, saying the viral clip was taken out of context and her meaning was to support the local businesses and the food culture in the city. The controversy erupted when a clip of Bhagyashree was uploaded on social media, which showed her promoting the popular Kashi lassi on camera, but not consuming it after the shoot, saying that it was too sugary and fatty. The clip was met with criticism, and several people on social media wondered about the realness of celebrity endorsement. In response, Bhagyashree posted another video on Instagram, explaining why she had gone to the place, and enjoying the lassi. She revealed that she had been awake since 3 a.m. to conduct Mangala Aarti and walked for hours in the hot summer sun on the ghats. The actress, who said the stuff was delicious, stated that she was feeling drained from a long and arduous morning and found the cool lassi to be the perfect pick-up. Sugar-added lassi may not be good for diabetics, but curd-based lassi has calcium, proteins, and probiotics, all beneficial and hydrating for the body, Bhagyashree said while addressing the sugar concern. She emphasised that everyone’s diet is different, and should not be falsely described. The actress also asked those who are spreading the edited clip, “Were you even there?”.

She attacked the sharing of “half a video with half the knowledge” and said it was fake when people share videos without context. The promotion of regional food is not about profit but about helping the local vendors and maintaining the culture of the regional food, Bhagyashree added. In a strongly worded message, she wrote, “It is a pity that idle minds have nothing nice to say even about the simplest of things. She also called Kashi a place of purity and asked people to concentrate on positivity rather than causing any unnecessary controversy. Bhagyashree’s clarification has been welcomed by many fans who have expressed their appreciation for her support of local businesses and urged for more prudence in judging celebrities using edited viral clips. The incident has also brought into focus the problem of how video content on social media platforms can often be edited selectively, thus giving rise to misleading narratives.

Mumbai: Actress Bhagyashree has forcefully rebutted the negative comments surrounding a video of her visit to Varanasi and

[1

post-629","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-education-education
["GET
