Many people have built up years of effort and persistence to finally get a job in government. It was the dream of many for Jharkhand’s Nandalal Ravani, who saw it come true just a few moments later. Ravani was a resident of Jamtara district and had been working as a para teacher from the year 2006. He passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in 2016, and applied for a regular government teaching job in 2023. But, because of the recruitment process, he was not appointed until June 29, 2026, one day before he became 60 years of age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meant that Ravani had to retire only 24 hours after being appointed as a regular government teacher, on June 30. Talking about his experience, Ravani said that he spent almost 20 years in education and hoped to find a permanent job with the government as a teacher. The appointment letter was a fulfillment of a lifetime dream, but that was short-lived as the rules of retirement decreed that he retire the next day. While it is said that he is now entitled to the pension and retirement benefits of regular government teachers, he was denied his opportunity to serve in the position he’d sought for years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident has raised a lot of questions about delays in the recruitment process of the government.
