The dispute between the Modi government at the Center and the MK Stalin government
of Tamil Nadu over the National Education Policy is constantly increasing. Meanwhile,
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has written a letter to the Stalin
government. In this letter, he said that the new education policy should be seen with
foresight. He said that it is unfair to oppose this progressive policy for political gains.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan wrote that the education policy does not
advocate the imposition of any language. Many non-BJP states have implemented the
progressive policies of NEP despite political differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aim of NEP 2020 is to
broaden the horizons, not narrow them. There is a conflict going on between the Center
and the Stalin government over the three-language formula in the National Education
Policy and writing a letter by the Education Minister to Stalin at such a time is
considered very important. While Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the threelanguage policy must be adopted and Tamil Nadu must accept the NEP \u201cin letter and
spirit\u201d, Stalin reiterated that education remains in the concurrent list, and asked which
Article of the Constitution mandates the three-language formula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The DMK and AIADMK in Tamil Nadu have opposed the three-language formula on the
ground that the education policy is an attempt to impose Hindi. School students in
