Samsung R&D Institute India, Bangalore (SRI-B) opened the Samsung Innovation
Campus (SIC) at Karnataka\u2019s first all-women\u2019s engineering college, Geetha Shishu
Shikshana Sangha (GSSS) Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysore.
Samsung\u2019s SIC program was introduced in September 2022. It has a comprehensive
curriculum covering fundamental technology skills such as artificial
intelligence\/machine learning, big data, and coding & programming. In 2024, Samsung
Southwest Asia furthered its SIC outreach by admitting 3,500 students, compared to
3,000 in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The students who will be part of this program will receive a chance to go through
professional offline and online training in a classroom center, and innovate on projects
under the mentorship of SRI-B and GSSS Institute mentors.
SRI-B has set up SICs in seven other institutes in Karnataka, such as BNM Institute of
Technology, Cambridge Institute of Technology (Main & North Campuses), Don Bosco
Institute of Technology, KLE Institute of Technology, RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT)
Bengaluru, and one in IIIT-Kurnool, educating more than 800 students with the required
skills to get relevant opportunities in the technology sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
