The Railway Recruitment Board is set to release the RRB Group D 2026 admit card any day now. There’s a real buzz among candidates hoping to land a job with Indian Railways. Group D hiring is huge—thousands of spots open up every time, spread across different railway zones.
Right now, the CBT (Computer Based Test) looks set for March or April 2026. That’s the window, but you’ll get the exact date when admit cards drop. Make sure you keep an eye on your regional RRB website so you don’t miss anything.
How to Get Your Admit Card
RRB puts out admit cards online, usually in phases. Just log in with your registration number and date of birth to grab yours. It’ll have all the key details: your exam date, shift, reporting time, exam center, and a list of instructions. Don’t leave home without your admit card and a valid photo ID—they won’t let you in otherwise.
Exam Pattern and Marking
You’ll face 100 multiple-choice questions, all in 90 minutes. The questions come from General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, plus General Awareness and Current Affairs. Every correct answer gets you one mark. But watch out—wrong answers cost you one-third of a mark, so guess wisely.
What Happens After the Test
Clear the CBT, and you move on to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This part checks your fitness—think running and lifting weights, with standards you’ll need to meet. If you pass PET, you’ll go through Document Verification and a Medical Exam. After all that, RRB puts out the final merit list.
