Ukraine stands very little chance of enduring Russia’s attack without the help of the United States, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated, as US President Donald Trump said that negotiation to bring an end to the war will commence following a telephone call with russian president Vladimir Putin.
“Most likely it will be extremely, extremely, extremely hard. And naturally, in all the tough situations there is a chance. But we will have poor chance – poor chance to live without the United States support,” Zelensky said.
Do not want to believe that we will not be strategic partners,” Zelensky said, In a quote from the interview published in advance of its planned airing on Sunday.
The president of Ukraine also claimed Putin does not care about stopping the war but rather a temporary truce that would result in the removal of sanctions, allowing Russia’s military time to reorganize. He was also concerned that Ukraine could be weakened militarily by the loss of US military assistance and rendered more susceptible to attacks by Russians.
