NEW DELHI: The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) on Friday introduced the appointment of SP Kochhar as its director normal with quick impact. Kochhar will take over from Rajan S. Mathews, who served as the manager of the business frame for a decade.
Kochhar, an army veteran who retired as the pinnacle of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) wing of the Indian Army, used to be accountable for making plans, executing and running all telecom and IT networks of the military, COAI stated in a remark.
“Prior to that he used to be Additional Director General Personnel of the Indian Army. He used to be until not too long ago the CEO of Telecom Sector Skill Council of India,” the remark added.
On Thursday, COAI introduced the appointment of Ajai Puri, leader running officer (India and South Asia) of Bharti Airtel, as its chairman and Reliance Jio Infocomm president Pramod Kumar Mittal as vice president.
While Puri has been with Bharti Airtel since 2004, Mittal served the dept of telecommunications (DoT) for 37 years in quite a lot of capacities prior to becoming a member of Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio.
